Student's Pass via Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) — applied by institution through SOLAR system after admission offer. Processing 2–4 weeks. Issued as Student Pass + multiple-entry visa. Registration at ICA on arrival.
Tuition fee proof + living funds (S$10,000/year suggested). Bank statement or sponsor letter. For Student Pass application: form e16 + medical insurance proof.
16 hours/week during term for degree students at public universities (no separate work permit needed). Full-time during vacation. Industrial attachments/internships allowed with approval. Minimum wage not legislated.
Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP): 1-year job-seeker pass for graduates of NUS/NTU/SMU/SUTD/SIT/SUSS + selected private institutions. Employment Pass (EP) for offered jobs with min salary S$5,000/month (2024 threshold). Personalised Employment Pass for high earners.
